Title:
“Whispering Pines”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Underneath the [C] whispering [G] pines,
[D] That’s where I lost my [G] love.
[G] She was like that [C] sweet summer [G] wine,
[D] And as gentle as a [G] dove.
(Chorus)
[C] Whispering pines, tell me [G] true,
[D] Does she still think of me as I do [G] you?
[C] Amid the rustling leaves and the [G] soft wind’s sigh,
[D] I still hear her voice in the [G] midnight sky.
(Verse 2)
[G] Our love was [C] pure, our hearts so [G] sure,
[D] Underneath the whispering [G] pines.
[G] Now all I have are [C] memories [G] pure,
[D] And the echo of her [G] sweet chimes.
(Chorus)
[C] Whispering pines, bring back my [G] love,
[D] Soar on the wings of the white [G] dove.
[C] Bring back the days, under your [G] shade,
[D] When love was made, beneath your [G] serenade.

“As an ardent fan of Subdued Country, I’d say their music speaks directly to my soul. I was drawn to their unassuming, raw emotions conveyed through their songs. ‘Whispering Pines’ is my absolute favorite. It took me back to a time of young, innocent love. The simplicity of their lyrics with the poignant chord progression is just stunningly beautiful. Jack’s voice is so soothing, it’s like a balm for a weary soul. Subdued Country is my favorite band because they bring reality into their music, they tell stories that resonate with daily life, and they do it with honesty and integrity. Their music brings serenity to my chaotic world.”
