Subdued Version

Backstory:
Subdued Version is a band that was formed in the outskirts of Boston, Massachusetts, in the late 2010s. The band consists of college friends: lead vocalist and guitarist Ethan Williams, drummer Connor Davis, and bassist Jake Thompson. The trio met while studying at the Berklee College of Music and quickly discovered a shared passion for introspective lyrics and rich, layered soundscapes. They started playing local gigs, honing their skills and building a loyal following before launching their first EP that catapulted them into the indie music scene.

Genre:
Subdued Version’s music is a fusion of Indie Rock and Folk with a touch of Ambient Pop. Their sound is defined by ethereal, acoustic guitar riffs, soft yet compelling vocals, and poetic storytelling lyrics.

Title:
“Echoes in the Hollow”

Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em G
In the hollow of my memories,
C D
I hear your voice,
Em G C
It’s an echo, it’s a whisper,
D
I can’t ignore.

(Chorus)
G D
Echoes in the hollow,
Am C
They lead me back to you,
G D Em
Bring me peace, the kind I knew,
C D
When love was true.

(Verse 2)
Em G
In the shadows of my doubts,
C D
I see your face,
Em G C
A reflection, an illusion,
D
Of a better place.

(Chorus)
G D
Echoes in the hollow,
Am C
They paint a picture new,
G D Em
Of a time when I was with you,
C D
When our love was true.

(Outro)
Em G C D
And so, I hold on to
Em G C D
Echoes in the hollow, of you.
