Sudden Profession

Backstory:
Sudden Profession was formed in the early 2000s in the thriving music scene of Austin, Texas. Childhood friends, Jake Marshall (vocals/guitar) and Nate Sullivan (drums) met Megan O’Connell (bass) and Eric Thompson (keyboard) during high school. They bonded over their shared love for music and used to jam together in Jake’s garage. After their first impromptu performance at a local cafe, they were christened Sudden Profession by the proprietor for their unexpected musical prowess. They continued to play at local venues, gaining a steady following and eventually getting signed by a major record label.

Title:
“Shadows and Echoes”

Full Song Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
Am C G D
In the silence of the night, under the pale moonlight,
We were lost, just shadows and echoes.
Chasing dreams down the street, feeling the rhythm of the beat,
In our hearts, just shadows and echoes.

[Chorus]
Em C G D
Shadows and echoes, lost in the meadows,
Running wild and free, just you and me.
Shadows and echoes, where the wind blows,
In the land of make-believe, where we could just be.

[Verse 2]
Am C G D
Through the chaos of the day, we found our own way,
In the end, just shadows and echoes.
With the music as our guide, and love by our side,
We were strong, just shadows and echoes.

[Chorus]
Em C G D
Shadows and echoes, lost in the meadows,
Running wild and free, just you and me.
Shadows and echoes, where the wind blows,
In the land of make-believe, where we could just be.

[Bridge]
Am C G D
Shadows and echoes, in the twilight meadows,
With dreams in our eyes, under the starry skies.

[Chorus]
Em C G D
Shadows and echoes, lost in the meadows,
Running wild and free, just you and me.
Shadows and echoes, where the wind blows,
In the land of make-believe, where we could just be.
