Backstory:
Super Beer was formed in the bustling streets of Brooklyn, New York during the craft beer boom of the mid-2000s. Lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, Ira Brewski, and drummer Brett Lager were college roommates turned homebrew aficionados who decided to transform their shared love for music and craft beer into a full-fledged rock band. They were later joined by virtuoso bassist Ale Porter and lead guitarist Amber Hops. Together, they brewed up a unique sound, with their songs often featuring witty lyrics about beer, life, love, and the messy mix of all three.
Super Beer’s story is an unconventional one. Their first gig was at a local brewery, where they played for a crowd of beer enthusiasts. Their unique sound, combined with their infectious passion for craft beer, quickly gained them a following of like-minded music and beer lovers. Their popularity grew exponentially when a bootleg recording of one of their brewery gigs went viral on social media, eventually leading them to sign a deal with a major record label.
Genre:
Alternative Rock with a hint of Blues.
Title:
“Pour Me Another One”.
Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[C] Late nights, [G] dim lights, [Am] a glass of bitter brew,
[F] Chase dreams, [C] through steam, [G] under neon blue.
[C] Heartache, [G] love’s stake, [Am] through the whispers of the glass,
[F] Stale air, [C] empty chair, [G] echoes of the past.
(Chorus)
[C] Pour me another one, [G] bartender,
[Am] Let the liquid mend my [F] shattered heart.
[C] Drown the sorrow, forget the morrow,
[G] In the tavern of lost dreams, [C] we are never apart.
(Verse 2)
[C] Old grooves, [G] drunken moves, [Am] under the frothy tide,
[F] Lost battles, [C] secret prattles, [G] the beer has nothing to hide.
[C] Wistful glances, [G] missed chances, [Am] in the mirror behind the bar,
[F] Spilt words, [C] unheard, [G] like a falling star.
(Chorus)
[C] Pour me another one, [G] bartender,
[Am] Let the amber wash away my [F] regret,
[C] Raise a toast, to love’s ghost,
[G] In the tavern of lost dreams, [C] we never forget.
Band’s Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is a guy named Larry “Lager” Lawson. To quote Larry, “I’ve loved rock music and craft beer for as long as I can remember. Super Beer combines these two passions in a way no other band does. Their music reminds me of my favorite local brewery – unpretentious, full-bodied, and bursting with character. Every song is like a different type of beer – rich, complex, and perfectly crafted. I may not be a musician, but as a fan, I can tell you their songs hit the spot every time. They’re the ultimate band for anyone who loves good music and good beer.”
