Backstory:
Sweaty Other was formed in the heart of Brooklyn, New York in 2014. The band consists of three members: Tommy ‘Twitch’ Malone on vocals and guitar, Frankie ‘Frantic’ DeCosta on drums, and Benny ‘Bassface’ Jacobs on, unsurprisingly, bass. Growing up together in the same neighborhood, the trio shared a common passion for gritty rock music and eccentric performance art. They started jamming in their parents’ garages and basements, eventually forming a band and adopting an unusual name, Sweaty Other, which comes from a phrase the group would use during their intense practice sessions in the sweltering New York summers.
