Backstory:
Tan Statement started as a group of friends from Jacksonville, Florida, who shared a mutual love for the sun, the beach, and music. The members – Alan (vocals), Lucas (guitar), Josh (bass), and Mike (drums) – used to hang out at the local beach, where they would play their instruments and sing to the sunset. Their bond only grew stronger when they realized their shared passion for music, and they decided to form a band in the summer of 2016. Their name, ‘Tan Statement,’ was a tribute to their origin story, reflecting their sun-soaked beginnings and an unapologetic proclamation of their love for the coast.
