Backstory:
Born in the cultural heartland of Venice Beach, California, Tan Street was established in 2007 by friends Luke Ellis, Jack Dylan, and Kiera Nolan. All three were pursuing different musical journeys before fate drew them together. Luke was a blues guitarist, Jack rocked the drums, and Kiera was a singer-songwriter. They had their separate gigs, but each felt something was missing. One day, they jammed together in a sun-soaked, tan-colored street – a moment of serendipity that led to the formation of Tan Street. The trio’s synergy and shared vision for creating music that resonates with the soul have since made them a musical powerhouse.

Title:
“Sunset on a Tan Street”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Em G D A
Walking through the city, under the sun,
Em G D A
On that tan street, where it all begun.
Em G D A
Times were simple, life was sweet,
Em G D A
On that tan street, where we’d meet.
(Chorus)
Em G D A
Sunset on a tan street, feeling the heat,
Em G D A
Where the music meets the soul, on that old concrete.
Em G D A
Memories of laughter, moments bittersweet,
Em G D A
Sunset on a tan street, where our hearts beat.
(Verse 2)
Em G D A
Shadows falling, music starting to play,
Em G D A
On that tan street, we found our way.
Em G D A
Dreams were born, life was complete,
Em G D A
On that tan street, where we’d meet.
(Chorus)
Em G D A
Sunset on a tan street, under the moon’s retreat,
Em G D A
Where the stars aligned, our destiny to meet.
Em G D A
Echoes of our passion, rhythm in our feet,
Em G D A
Sunset on a tan street, where our lives entreat.
Favorite Fan Testimonial:
My name is Maddie Simmons. Tan Street is my favorite band, hands down. I’ve been following them since their inception. Their music, the raw emotion they put in every song, resonates with me like no other. It’s like they’re telling my story, capturing my feelings in their lyrics, and expressing them in ways I never could. Their song “Sunset on a Tan Street” is my anthem. I’ve seen them live multiple times, and each time it’s a unique experience. Luke, Jack, and Kiera are not just musicians to me, they are storytellers, poets of our generation. Their music has been a source of solace, a ray of hope during my hard times. I am a Tan Street fan for life.
