Backstory:
Tender Coil was born out of the melancholy heartland of Akron, Ohio in the mid-2000s. It was formed by childhood friends and self-taught musicians, Mike Anderson and Joe Baker. They were two guys who spent their teenage years holed up in their bedrooms, learning to play guitar and write songs under the influence of alternative rock and folk legends. Tired of the monotony of their small-town life, they decided to chase their musical dreams, thus Tender Coil was born. Going through the highs and lows together, they’ve managed to hold onto their passion for music, creating soulful and introspective songs that resonate deeply with their growing audience.
