That Amount

Backstory:
“That Amount” was formed in the heart of Liverpool, England by childhood friends, Alex Carrington and Peter Hughes. Alex, a talented guitarist, and Peter, with his soulful vocals and keyboard skills, found a common love for music, often engaging in impromptu jam sessions in Alex’s garage. During a local talent hunt in 2010, an enthusiastic response to their performance prompted them to take their casual music playing more seriously. Joined by drummer Mike Howard and bassist Tom Everett, they shaped their sound and dynamics, calling themselves “That Amount”.

Genre:
That Amount has a distinct Indie Rock vibe with elements of Britpop influenced by their hometown, echoing bands like Oasis and Arctic Monkeys.

[C] I see the [Am] lights in the [Em] distance, [G]

[G] Ready to [Dm] fly.

[G] In the wind, [Dm] softly blown.

[C] The smell of the [Am] ocean, [Em]
[G] It lingers in my [Dm] dreams,
[C] Swallowed by the [Am] city, [Em]
[G] Nothing’s what it [Dm] seems.

[G] All I’ve ever [Am] known,
[F] Turning into [C] whispers,
[G] In the wind, [Dm] softly blown.

[C] Now on different [Am] shores, [Em]
