Those Working

Band Profile: Those Working

Backstory:
Those Working, a band hailing from the industrial heart of Pittsburgh, PA, found its roots in a mechanic’s garage. Three friends – Joe, a car mechanic, Danny, a steelworker, and Terry, a delivery man, would often meet after work to jam out their day’s stress. Each of them brought their unique experiences, perspectives, and musical skills to the table. Their shared music journey started when a recording of their impromptu jam session went viral on social media, leading them to pursue music more seriously.

Their journey from the garage to the studio was not an easy one. However, the band stayed true to their name, putting in long hours of practice after grueling work shifts. Much of their inspiration comes from their daily experiences, the people they interact with, and the city they hold dear. This, coupled with their passion for music, helped them put together songs that resonate deeply with the working class and beyond.

Music Genre:
Those Working is known for their distinct brand of Alternative Rock with a touch of Blues, reflecting their gritty, hardworking roots.

Song Title:
“Wrenches and Records”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Down in the heart of the steel town,
Three hearts beating to the same sound,
Days filled with grease, toil and sweat,
Nights with music, no regrets.

(Chorus)
With wrenches and records, we take the night,
Drown our sorrows in the neon light.
Singing for the workers, singing for the dream,
In every note, a silent scream.

(Verse 2)
From the whir of machines to the strum of strings,
From the chants of the day, the melody springs.
In the echoes of the hammers, the rhythm we find,
A symphony of the working kind.

(Chorus)
With wrenches and records, we own the stage,
In every verse, our life’s page.
Playing for the tired, playing for the free,
With every chord, a shared decree.

(Bridge)
In our songs, the rusted dreams shine,
In our notes, the mundane stories intertwine.
With every beat, a tribute we bring,
To every soul who’s working, we sing.

(Chorus)
With wrenches and records, we stir the night,
In the chorus of the struggle, we ignite.
For every weary heart, an anthem we’ve spun,
For those still working when the day is done.

Chord Progression:
Verse: Am – G – D – Am
