Backstory:
Torn Symbol came into existence during a vibrant summer in 2009 in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. Five college friends – Daniel, Erik, Darcy, Logan, and Jenna – found an outlet for their musical creativity during a late-night jam session in their shared flat. This spontaneous eruption of passion gradually evolved into a full-fledged band, with Daniel’s compelling songwriting, Erik’s intricate guitar riffs, Darcy’s booming basslines, Logan’s pulsating drums, and Jenna’s hauntingly beautiful vocals. The band’s name, Torn Symbol, was picked to reflect their desire to break away from societal norms and inspire listeners to question established symbols and beliefs.
