Backstory:
In the thriving music scene of Portland, Oregon, a unique sound was born in the form of Triangular Ink. The band’s story began in the late 90s when three friends – Daniel, an introverted poet, Rachel, a self-taught pianist, and Max, a rebellious drummer – met in college. They found common ground in their shared love for music and the arts and decided to start playing together. Their jam sessions in the dormitory quickly became a sensation among the student community, leading them to form the band Triangular Ink.
The band’s name was coined during one of their late-night brainstorming sessions. “Triangular” symbolizes the trio’s synergy, while “Ink” signifies their rich, dark, and deep lyrics. The name aptly represents the band’s philosophy and sound – a perfect blend of their individual talents resulting in music that is raw, emotional, and heartfelt.

Shadows of the Past

[Verse 1] Am G
In the shadows of the past, I roam, Am G

An echo whispers in the hall, Am G
A memory pinned against the wall. C F
[Chorus] F C
Shadows of the past, come take my hand, F C
Lead me back to the forgotten land. Am G F
Where dreams were wild, and hearts were free, Am G F
In the shadows of the past, I wish to be.
[Verse 2] Am G
Through the open doors of yesterday, Am G
I see the silhouette of a play. C F
The laughter, tears, the joy, the pain, Am G
In the shadows of the past, it all remains. C F

Shadows of the past, come take my hand, F C
Lead me back to the forgotten land. Am G F
Where dreams were wild, and hearts were free, Am G F
In the shadows of the past, I wish to be.
