Backstory:

Twin Government was formed in the eclectic and vibrant music scene of Portland, Oregon. Founders and identical twins, Ethan and Aaron, were born and raised in this city’s thriving culture. With a shared passion for music, they started experimenting with music at an early age, turning their garage into a makeshift studio. In their early twenties, they decided to take their common hobby to the next level and formed Twin Government. They were soon joined by their high school friends, bassist Alex Johnson and drummer Sam Higgins, and the four-piece band set out to captivate audiences with their unique sound.

The name, Twin Government, is a nod to the twins’ shared leadership in the band. They see their relationship as a sort of dual governance, balancing each other’s creative ideas and directions, and this duality extends into the band’s music, which is characterized by its harmonious blend of varied influences and styles.

The band’s favorite fan’s name is Lily, a barista from their local coffee shop in Portland. Lily has been a fan since the band’s early days. Twin Government is her favourite band because their music speaks to her on a personal level.
