Backstory:
Unfit Machine was founded in the industrial city of Sheffield, England in the early 2000s. The band was formed by four factory workers who spent their days working on heavy machinery and their nights rocking out in their makeshift garage studio. Their shared experiences of monotony and frustration at their day jobs served as the inspiration for their music. They channeled their collective angst into creating a raw, gritty sound that resonated deeply with the working-class youth of Sheffield. Their big break came after a local radio DJ discovered their self-produced EP and started playing their songs on air. The band quickly gained a cult following and were soon signed to a major record label.
