1. Backstory:
Unsteady Ring formed in the vibrant music scene of Austin, Texas in 2014. They are a group of four friends who met in high school: frontman James ‘JD’ Davis, guitarist Ricky ‘Red’ Ortega, bassist Mark ‘Mason’ Clark, and drummer Alex ‘Ace’ Bennett. While they started as a garage band playing at local dives, their unique sound quickly caught the attention of indie music enthusiasts. They embarked on a musical journey, fuelled by their shared love for music and desire to explore the hidden corners of their creativity.

Their first breakthrough came in 2016 when they played at South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival and were signed by an indie label. The journey has not been smooth; they have had their share of highs and lows, changes in their musical direction, and even brief separations. But each challenge thrown at Unsteady Ring has only made their bond stronger and their music more profound.
