Backstory:

“Unwelcome Expenditure” was born out of the ashes of a failed banking career. The band’s frontman, Paulie “Pockets” McQueen, had been a Wall Street hotshot who was laid off during the financial crisis of 2008. He found solace in his love for music and, together with former colleagues, Georgie “Grit” Malone on drums and Danny “The Debt” O’Reilly on bass, they decided to turn their shared anger and frustration with the financial system into music. Their songs resonate with a generation that feels robbed of their future, bearing witness to the disillusionment of corporate greed and its impact on the common man.
