Unwieldy Place

Backstory:
Unwieldy Place was born in the bohemian streets of Greenwich Village, New York in 2009. The group started as a trio composed of college dropouts: Kevin Richards on vocals and guitar, Rachel Green on bass and backing vocals, and Mike Dawson on drums. They were all music enthusiasts who decided to follow their passion rather than sticking to their academic pursuits. After endless jam sessions in cramped studios and basements, they found a unique sound that echoed their collective personality – a blend of raw emotions, life experiences, and uncensored thoughts. Their music spoke of their journeys, heartbreaks, rebellion, and the unwieldy place they were all in – hence, the band name was born.

Title:
“Midnight Shadows”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em C G D
Underneath the midnight shadows, we lost our way.
Em C G D
Whispered words in silent echoes, we had nothing to say,
Em C G D
Our dreams were sold, our hearts turned cold,
Em C G D
In this unwieldy place, we’re growing old.

(Chorus)
C G D Em
But we’re holding on, in the eye of the storm,
C G D Em
Finding our song, in the echoes we’ve worn,
C G D Em
In this unwieldy place, where shadows are born.

(Verse 2)
Em C G D
Battling the chaos, we found our sight,
Em C G D
In the midst of the noise, we found quiet.
Em C G D
Our souls were bruised, our faith was used,
Em C G D
In this unwieldy place, we were accused.

(Chorus)
C G D Em
But we’re standing tall, amidst the scorn,
C G D Em
Finding our call, in the silence we’ve sworn,
C G D Em
In this unwieldy place, where shadows are worn.
