Backstory:
Unwilling Autumn began as a group of childhood friends from a small town in Vermont. The four members, Ben on lead vocals and guitar, Jake on drums, Lisa on keyboard and backup vocals, and Chris on bass, all had a shared love for music and autumn. They spent their early teenage years playing in Ben’s garage, dreaming of sharing their music with the world. The name ‘Unwilling Autumn’ was inspired by their small town’s stunning fall foliage and the nostalgic feelings of change it brought about, representing their desire to hold onto their youth and the innocence of their friendship. After winning a local battle of the bands, they knew they were onto something special. They packed up their lives and moved to New York, where they were discovered by a record label executive during an Open Mic night.
