Backstory:
Urban Basketball was formed in the heart of Chicago in 2011, by a group of friends who shared a mutual love for music and the game of basketball. Derrick, the lead singer, and Jamie, the drummer, met at a local basketball court, where they played pickup games together. They decided to form a band, inspired by their passion for music and the energy of the urban basketball scene. They recruited two more members, Lisa, a bassist, and Alex, a guitarist, both whom they met at a local music store.

Their journey began playing at local bars and basketball events, gradually gaining popularity within their community. Their big breakthrough came when they were invited to perform at a charity event for a local basketball league, and their performance was recorded and went viral. Urban Basketball is now one of the rising stars in the music scene, and they’re known for their unique fusion of hip-hop and rock, with lyrics inspired by the life and spirit of urban basketball courts.
