Backstory:
Vapid Estimate was formed in the bohemian suburbs of East London in 2015, the brainchild of lead singer and lyricist Jake Collins. With a shared love for music that pushes boundaries, Collins, alongside bassist Mike Williams, guitarist Charlie Dunn, and drummer Tom Thompson, came together to create a sound that defies the mainstream. They started off playing small gigs in local pubs, eventually gaining popularity due to their eclectic sound and intriguing lyrics. The band’s breakout moment came when their song was played by a renowned radio DJ, catapulting them to unexpected fame.
