Backstory:
Vapid Muscle was born in the gritty heart of Detroit, Michigan in 2009. The group consisted of four childhood friends with a shared passion for music: lead vocalist and bassist, Marty ‘The Muscle’ Michaels, drummer, Vinny ‘Vapid’ Vance, guitarist, Ricky ‘Riff’ Russo, and keyboardist, Jimmy ‘Jazz’ Jensen. They started out playing in dank basements and crowded garages, gradually capturing hearts with their evocative lyrics and robust melodies. Their journey wasn’t without friction; they faced their share of struggles and internal battles, but the bond they formed through music always led them back to each other. Vapid Muscle’s humble beginnings continue to inspire their sound today, which blends raw honesty with a touch of nostalgia.
