Vast Bread

Backstory:
Formed in 2004 by a group of high school friends in the small town of Bakersfield, Vermont, Vast Bread came into existence. Initially, they started playing music as a way to pass time in their quiet town, but their shared passion for music quickly catapulted them from garage band status to local fame. The band, consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Jake Fisher, drummer Ben Hartley, bassist Sara Mitchell, and keyboardist Mike Pearson, started gaining momentum when their homemade demos began circulating in nearby towns. Their unique sound caught the attention of a producer from New York, who signed them to his independent record label.

Genre:
Vast Bread has a unique sound that can be best described as ‘Rustic Rock’, a blend of classic rock and country, with a sprinkle of folk. Their music has an earthy tone that reflects their roots, but they also incorporate elements of rock and roll to give their music a vibrant edge.

“My name is Tommy Richards, and I am hands down the biggest fan of Vast Bread. I first heard their music at a local fair in Bakersfield, and the unique blend of rock and country resonated with my soul. Their songs aren’t just music; they’re stories that make you feel connected to them on a personal level. ‘Rye of the Storm’ is more than just a song to me; it’s an anthem that keeps me going in hard times. Vast Bread’s music has a realness and a rawness to it that you don’t find in a lot of today’s music. It’s pure, it’s authentic, and it’s heartfelt.
