Backstory:

Velvety Moment is a quartet formed in San Francisco, California, in the summer of 2013. Founding members, Maggie Peterson (vocals, guitar), Lucas Blackwood (lead guitar), Jason “Jazz” Miller (bass), and Danny Green (drums), initially met at a local music festival. They bonded over their mutual love for the classic rock of the 70s and 80s, and their desire to bring that essence into the modern age.

After a few jamming sessions in a tiny apartment in the city, they realized they had a unique sound that deserved to be shared. They began performing at local bars and quickly gained a loyal following due to their immersive, emotive performances and their distinctive blend of vintage and modern influences. Velvety Moment has since released three studio albums and toured extensively across the United States, earning a reputation for their electrifying live shows.
