Backstory:
It all began in the heart of Seattle, Washington, when four college friends discovered their shared love for music. Zane, a media studies major and part-time barista; Jenny, a graphic design student with an inclination towards the bass guitar; Tony, a philosophy major with a passion for percussions; and Max, an English literature student who found solace in the acoustic guitar, joined together to form what would become the iconic ‘Velvety Ship’. The name of the band emerged from their shared love of a unique velvety texture of coffee that they had savored aboard a ship during a memorable summer vacation.
Over time, their respective talents combined to create an eclectic mix of sounds that transcended the traditional boundaries of music. Their first few gigs at local pubs were a hit, and they quickly gained a strong following. Their story is one of unity in diversity, creating magic with their distinct sounds while retaining their individuality.
