Venerated Lunch

Backstory:

Venerated Lunch is a powerhouse trio that was formed in 2015 in Denton, Texas. The three members, Tim “Pickle” Peters on bass and vocals, Jimmy “Fry” Freeman on guitar and backup vocals, and Danny “Burger” Burke on drums, were all working together in the same music store. During lunch breaks, they would often jam together, exploring different genres and honing their musical chemistry. One day during an improvised jam, a customer walked in, listened to them play, and ended up offering them a chance to record in his friend’s studio. They decided to name their band ‘Venerated Lunch’, a playful nod to those lunchtime jam sessions that brought them together.

Genre:

Venerated Lunch’s music can be best described as Psychedelic Rock, often incorporating elements of blues, progressive rock, and funk into their sound. They are known for their improvised jam sections, extended guitar solos, and complex song structures, reminiscent of the psychedelic bands of the ’60s and ’70s, but with a modern twist.

Title:

One of their standout tracks is “Tomato Jam”.
