Formed in the heart of Seattle, Washington in 2010, Vital Jar is a dynamic quartet of musicians who have been setting the indie rock scene ablaze with their bold sonic texture and emotive lyricism. The band was initiated by childhood friends Benjamin “Benji” Thompson (vocalist/guitarist) and Oliver “Ollie” Hamilton (drummer), who later recruited Emily Darden (bassist) and Remy Anderson (keyboardist) to complete the lineup.

The band members quickly bonded over their shared love for offbeat melodies, energetic rhythm, and poetic lyrics. Their name Vital Jar is a metaphor for their music acting as a vessel that carries and preserves life experiences, emotions, and thoughts, which they pour into their songs.
