Backstory:
Voluminous Settlement was formed in the heart of Seattle, Washington, in the early 2010s. The band was born out of the friendship between lead guitarist Stephen “Spike” Jenkins and vocalist Alex Dawson, who found a shared passion for music while studying at the University of Washington. Joined by bassist Olivia “Liv” Hartfield and drummer Jake Green, they started playing in local bars and pubs, quickly gaining a loyal following with their unique sound and infectious energy. Despite their academic pursuits, the band members decided to devote themselves fully to their music after graduating, leading to their breakthrough in the Pacific Northwest music scene.

Title:
“Echoes in the Rain”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[Em] Underneath the city lights, [C] lost in the pouring rain,
[G] Searching for a piece of mind, [D] somewhere to ease the pain.
[Em] Another day, another fight, [C] it all feels so mundane,
[G] But in your eyes, I see the light, [D] a beacon, I can’t feign.
(Chorus)
[Em] Echoes in the rain, [C] voices we can’t restrain,
[G] Memories of love and pain, [D] framed in life’s disdain.
[Em] You and me, we’re just the same, [C] bound by a cosmic chain,
[G] In this voluminous settlement, [D] we’ll make our own domain.
(Verse 2)
[Em] Sidewalks wet, as dreams collide, [C] silence in the air,
[G] With each step, our hearts confide, [D] secrets we wouldn’t dare.
[Em] Shadows moving side by side, [C] stories left to share,
[G] In this city’s vast divide, [D] we find solace, rare.
(Chorus)
[Em] Echoes in the rain, [C] whispers of joy and strain,
[G] Dancing with life’s uncertain gain, [D] on destiny’s uneven plane.
[Em] With you, I can sustain, [C] in love’s enchanting refrain,
[G] In this voluminous settlement, [D] our echoes will remain.
