Backstory:
Wary Choice was born out of an unexpected collaboration between a retired police officer, John “JD” Dobbins, and a high school music teacher, Simon Gibson. During a chance meeting at a charity event in their small Idaho town, they discovered a shared passion for music. Despite their different backgrounds, they found a unique synergy in their diverse musical influences and decided to form a band. Together, they built a recording studio in JD’s garage where they spent nights and weekends crafting their unique sound.
Genre:
Wary Choice’s music is a fusion of country rock and classic blues. Their soulful melodies, combined with JD’s gritty vocals and Simon’s skillful guitar riffs, create a distinctive sound that resonates with fans of all ages. Their music tells stories of love, loss, and redemption, often drawing on JD’s experiences on the police force and Simon’s life as a teacher.
