Wee Magistrate

Backstory:
Wee Magistrate began in the heart of Glasgow, Scotland, in 2005 when three childhood friends, Callum McKay (lead vocals and guitar), Brodie Ross (bass), and Hamish Macdonald (drums), decided to put their shared love for music into action. They spent long nights in their cramped garage, experimenting with different sounds and influences, ultimately leading to the creation of their unique sound. Their name, “Wee Magistrate,” is a playful nod to their Scottish heritage, referring to the small-town judges that presided over their tight-knit community.

Genre:
Wee Magistrate’s music can be best described as Indie Rock with tinges of Folk and Punk influences, carefully blending powerful guitar riffs and emotive lyrics with the raw energy of punk and melodious elements from folk music.

[G] In a town where the [C] sunlight never [G] settles,

[Em] To the [C] mundane, the [D] ordinary, we [G] won’t quit.

[C] We are the [G] Wee Magistrates in the [D] court of misfits,
[Em] Lost in the [C] rhythm, we are [D] finding our fit.

[Em] To the [C] mundane, the [D] ordinary, we [G] won’t quit.
