Backstory:
Weepy Church was born out of a middle school friendship in the small town of Grimsby, England. The quartet, originally consisting of vocalist and guitarist Oliver Davies, bassist Luke Patterson, keyboardist Alice Hastings, and drummer Jack Middleton, met during their early teenage years. They were all part of the local church choir—the St. Mary’s Church Choir.
The group drew inspiration from their choir performances, merging the spirit of gospel music with a modern indie rock sound. They started by playing at small local shows and quickly gained a loyal fan base. Their unique sound and heartfelt lyrics caught the attention of a renowned music producer during one of their performances, and within a short span, Weepy Church found themselves in the middle of the music industry, ready to leave an imprint with their soul-touching music.
