Backstory:
“Weighty Marketing” began its musical journey back in 2013 in the bustling city of Seattle. The band started as a side project by three co-workers from a small advertising agency. The trio, consisting of copywriter-turned-vocalist Jake, art director-turned-guitarist Ryan, and project manager-turned-drummer Mike, would spend their Friday nights jamming in their office basement. The fusion of their shared experiences in the ad world, their love for music, and their knack for storytelling gave birth to a unique sound that resonated with many. As their fanbase grew, they decided to quit their day jobs and take their music to the next level.

Title: “Clickbait Love”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1) [C – Am – Em – G]
In the fleeting frames of banner ads,
Lost in the crowd of pop-up tabs,
My heart sparks like an electric shock,
Every time I see your dialogue box.
(Verse 2) [C – Am – Em – G]
Your eyes are like the loading screen,
Of my favorite viral meme,
In the cacophony of retweets and shares,
Your silence is a breath of fresh air.
(Chorus) [F – G – C – Am]
You’re my clickbait love, in this digital age,
In the clutter of the information page,
Behind the screen, beneath the hype,
In the flicker of the pixel light.
(Verse 3) [C – Am – Em – G]
We navigate through algorithms,
Lost in the sea of notifications,
Your presence is my only pause,
In this endless scroll of cause.
(Chorus) [F – G – C – Am]
You’re my clickbait love, in this virtual maze,
In the labyrinth of the data haze,
You’re the pop-up that I’ll never close,
In this web page of highs and lows.

Sarah’s Testimonial:
“I’ve been a fan of alternative rock for a long time but ‘Weighty Marketing’ truly stands out. Their lyrics weave a beautiful narrative, blending in elements of our daily digital lives. It’s contemporary and relatable yet deeply poignant and heartfelt. ‘Clickbait Love’ is my absolute favorite – it perfectly captures the paradox of modern love in the internet age. ‘Weighty Marketing’ is my go-to band when I need to feel understood in this chaotic world.”
