Backstory:
Well-Groomed Fan was born out of the vibrant college scene in Portland, Oregon in 2008. The band was first formed by three best friends; Danny ‘Danny Boy’ O’Leary, Scott ‘Scotty Beats’ McKenzie, and Maria ‘Ria Rhythm’ Martinez. They were all studying in different fields but had a shared love for music. After countless nights jamming in their dorm, they decided to start taking their music outside the confines of their study rooms. The band name was inspired by a joke within the group about their ‘well-groomed’ mutual friend who was their first fan and attended each of their early performances.
