White Fraud

Backstory: White Fraud, a group of four college friends, started off as an indie band in the basement of a small rented house in Seattle. Ben Peterson (vocals and guitar), Sam Barnes (bass), Alex Turner (lead guitar), and Mikey Davidson (drums) were all studying music in the University of Washington when they decided to form a band for a charity gig. Their performance was a hit, and they found themselves playing in local bars and coffee houses, earning a small but devoted local fanbase. They took the name ‘White Fraud’ as a humorous nod to their initial lack of experience and their pale complexions – a name that stuck even as their skills and popularity grew.

Genre: Indie Rock/Alternative

For Emily, White Fraud is a source of strength and inspiration. She says, “Their music speaks to me on a deeper level. It’s raw, real, and relatable. It’s not just about the melody or the rhythm, it’s the emotion behind every word and chord. It feels like they’re narrating my life through their songs. I’ve seen them grow from a small indie band into a renowned act, and I couldn’t be prouder. They’re the soundtrack to my life.”
