Backstory:
Whole Stage originated in the bustling, music-loving city of Austin, Texas. The band was formed in the spring of 2009 when high school friends, Carter Rhodes (lead vocals & guitar), Ryan Thompson (drums), Megan Parker (bass guitar & backing vocals), and Jamie Sanders (lead guitar) decided to merge their shared love for music into a full-fledged band. After finishing high school, instead of opting for college, they decided to focus on their music, spending countless hours rehearsing in Carter’s garage. Their hard work paid off when they were discovered by a local music producer during a performance at a small local bar.
Genre:
Whole Stage’s music can be classified as Indie Rock with a touch of Folk.
Title:
One of their most loved songs is titled “Ride The Wave”.
Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am G D Am
In this world so wild, we’re just a child, learning to ride the wave,
Am G D Am
Through the highs and lows, the ebb and the flows, we find a way to brave.
(Chorus)
G D Am C
Ride the wave, don’t you cave, life’s a journey not a grave,
G D Am
Ride it high, touch the sky, be the bird that will never die.
(Verse 2)
Am G D Am
In the canvas of life, through the strife, paint with colors so bold,
Am G D Am
The story unfolds, as the old world holds, tales of heroes untold.
(Chorus)
G D Am C
Ride the wave, break the slave, be the voice, make the rave,
G D Am
Ride it free, let it be, in the sea of possibilities.
