Wide-Eyed Fog

Backstory:
Wide-Eyed Fog is an unlikely story of four childhood friends who grew up in a small town in Washington State, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. The friends, Tyler “Ty” Harris (vocals/guitar), Jackson “Jack” Cromwell (drums), Oliver “Ollie” Thompson (bass), and Emily “Em” Jones (keyboard/vocals), spent their formative years hiking forest trails, where the combination of fog and their imaginative minds sparked an interest in music. The band was officially formed in their junior year of high school when they decided to enter a local talent show. They didn’t win, but that didn’t matter. They found a connection that was bigger than themselves, and they started writing and playing music together.

The band’s name, Wide-Eyed Fog, was chosen as a nod to their sense of wonder and the beautiful foggy landscapes they grew up in. Their unique sound and honest lyrics have since struck a chord with listeners worldwide.

Full song lyrics:

[Verse 1]
G – D – Em – C
Pine trees sway, the fog rolls in

A silence fills, the world within

We tread softly, a path unseen

Lost in the moment, just you and me

Beyond the pines, beneath the sky

Whispered stories, our lullaby
Em – D – G – C
Chasing the fog, with wide open eyes
Em – D – C – G
This is our freedom, this is our life

G – D – Em – C
Hand in hand, against the cold

Our hearts aflame, a story told

In every whisper, in every sigh

We found our solace, beneath the sky

Beyond the pines, beneath the sky

Whispered stories, our lullaby

Chasing the fog, with wide open eyes

This is our freedom, this is our life

Favorite Fan:
Molly Cohen, an aspiring photographer, discovered Wide-Eyed Fog during one of their early performances in Seattle. She quickly became their biggest fan, following them around the country on their tours, and capturing behind-the-scenes moments. She says, “Their music speaks to me on an intrinsic level. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s a reflection of moments we all experience. Every time I listen to their music, I’m transported back to the forest trails and foggy mornings that they sing about. It’s not just music for me, it’s an escape.”
