Backstory:
Wiggly Commitment was initially formed as a trio in the bustling music scene of Austin, Texas, in the late 90s. The founding members Dave ‘Slinky’ Johnson (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Riley ‘Rubberband’ Henderson (Bass & Vocals) and Fiona ‘Coil’ Buchanan (Drums) met while studying music at the University of Texas. The band members’ shared love for an eclectic mix of music styles and their penchant for adding a unique twist to traditional genres led to the creation of a fresh, funky sound that was quickly embraced by the local scene.
The band went through several transformations over the years, with band members coming and going, but the core trio remained. After signing with a major record label in 2005, Wiggly Commitment gained international recognition, their unique sound resonating with a broad audience. Despite their commercial success, their commitment to their unique, high-energy brand of music never wavered, thus living up to the band’s name.
