Backstory:
Winding Cancer was formed in the gritty backstreets of Seattle, Washington, during the peak of the grunge movement in the early 1990s. The band is composed of four childhood friends: lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, Rowan Greene, lead guitarist, Clarke Hemmings, bassist, Ian Brooks, and drummer, Max Russo. They found solace in creating music amidst their personal struggles, pulling inspiration from their collective life experiences and the chaotic world around them.
The band spent their early years playing in underground clubs and garages, slowly gaining a loyal local following. Their big break came in 1995 when they were signed by independent label, Gravitas Records. Since then, they’ve released several chart-topping albums and have become renowned for their raw, emotional performances and socially conscious lyrics.

Title:
“Shattered Mirrors”
Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am D G Em
Shattered mirrors under the light,
Reflecting truths that we can’t fight.
Hollow whispers in the night,
Lost in echoes out of sight.
(Chorus)
C G D
In the fragments, we see more,
Pieces of a past we’ve worn.
Shattered mirrors on the floor,
Reflect the souls that we once bore.
(Verse 2)
Am D G Em
Broken images, sharp and cold,
Tales of young that grew too old.
Restless hearts, stories untold,
In shattered mirrors, secrets hold.
(Chorus)
C G D
Shattered mirrors, sharp and clear,
Reflecting pain, reflecting fear.
Look upon the faces here,
In shattered mirrors, all is near.
(Bridge)
F C Dm
In each shard, a life unfolds,
F C Dm
Cracked reflections, stories told.
F C Dm
In shattered mirrors, secrets hold,
F C Dm
Look closer now, be bold.
(Chorus)
C G D
Shattered mirrors, don’t look away,
Reflections of a past, in disarray.
Tales of sorrow, tales of play,
In shattered mirrors, we find our way.
