Backstory:
Winding Market is a band born out of the small-but-mighty music scene in Asheville, North Carolina. The quartet originally came together while attending university, bonding over late-night jam sessions and a mutual love for intricate harmonies and dynamic melodies. The group of students, which included a botany major, a philosophy student, a sociology scholar, and a music theory enthusiast, found that their diverse backgrounds and viewpoints helped to create a rich and unique sound. After graduation, the group decided to take a leap of faith and pursue their shared passion for music full-time. They chose the name ‘Winding Market’ to symbolize their journey through the twists and turns of life and the music industry.
