Backstory:
Windy Drawer was created in the bustling city of Austin, Texas in 2010, when a group of four college friends: Mason, Luke, Ben, and Joe decided to put their passion for indie folk rock into practice. They began by playing at local bars and eventually worked their way onto the city’s vibrant music scene. The band’s name, ‘Windy Drawer,’ was inspired by a quirky old drawer in their shared apartment that would mysteriously creak open when the wind blew.

Their chemistry and shared love for music made the quartet a sensation in the local scene. Their breakthrough came when a local radio DJ heard their demo and was captivated by their unique blend of heartfelt lyrics and passionate performance. Over the years, their music has evolved, keeping the indie folk rock at its core, but incorporating elements of pop, country, and blues.
