Backstory:
Wordy Point is a band that was formed in the sleepy town of Woodbridge, Virginia, in 2010. The quartet, comprised of lifelong friends, started as a high school garage band just strumming their own versions of popular songs. When lead vocalist, Davis Johnson, started penning his own lyrics, the group found an entirely new direction. Their distinctive sound, a mix of poetic lyricism with a raw rock backdrop, resonated with the local crowd. After winning multiple local band competitions, Wordy Point was soon playing in bigger venues across the state, and eventually across the country.
