Backstory:
Formed in the eclectic artistic hub of Seattle, Worrisome Apple began as a shared dream between childhood friends Evan Riley and Dakota Daniels. Evan, a self-taught guitarist, and Dakota, a vocalist with a unique, haunting voice, grew up in the same neighborhood, sharing musical influences from folk to punk rock. They knew they had something special when their jam sessions in Evan’s garage started attracting crowds. They soon added drummer Mia Thompson and bassist Ian Chavez to the mix, solidifying the Worrisome Apple sound. The band holds a DIY ethos close to heart, managing to gain a following from grassroots marketing and word-of-mouth buzz, and they’ve been captivating audiences ever since with their innovative sound.

Title:
“Cherry Pits”
Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] Cherry pits in my pocket, [Em] dreams in my head
[C] Walking down the sidewalk, [D] thinking of what you said
[G] Sunshine filtering through, [Em] warming up my skin
[C] I wish I could tell you, [D] where my mind has been
(Chorus)
[G] I’ve been dancing with ghosts, [Em] in the shadow of your love
[C] Sipping on memories, [D] beneath the stars above
[G] Cherry pits and dreams, [Em] that’s all I have to give
[C] But I promise you darling, [D] for you I’ll live
(Verse 2)
[G] Cherry pits are bitter, [Em] like the words you left behind
[C] But I keep them in my pocket, [D] hoping sweetness I’ll find
[G] Underneath the apple tree, [Em] I carve our names in wood
[C] In this worrisome world, [D] I’d stay with you if I could

Fan’s Testimonial:
Worrisome Apple has been my favorite band since the very first time I heard them play at a small open-mic night in Seattle. Their music speaks to the soul with hauntingly beautiful melodies and poignant, heartfelt lyrics. Dakota’s voice is pure magic, and the way Evan plays the guitar is unlike anything I’ve ever heard. Every song feels like a personal journey. Their music has been there for me through the best and worst times, and for that, I will forever be grateful. They’ve created a sound that is truly unique, and it resonates deeply within me. I can’t wait to see where their journey takes them.
