Backstory:
Memorable Vacation is a band of four high school friends who, after a summer trip to a music festival, decided to pursue music together. The band consists of the talented quartet of Mason ‘Mase’ Miller on vocals, Jerry ‘Jet’ Thompson on drums, ‘Mad’ Max Johnson on bass, and ‘Rapid’ Ricky Davis on lead guitar. After a few years of playing gigs at local bars and coffeehouses, they caught the attention of a record executive at one such performance. The rest, as they say, is history.

Title:
“Journey to Judah”
Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] I packed my [D] bag, left my [Em] old life [C] behind,
[G] Hit the road with [D] no destination [Em] in mind. [C]
[G] Looking for a [D] place, where I [Em] could unwind, [C]
[G] Found Judah on a [D] map, it seemed [Em] just right. [C]
(Chorus)
[G] Oh, I took a [D] journey to [Em] Judah, [C]
[G] Under the crystal [D] blue sky, [Em] [C]
[G] Found paradise in [D] its warm breeze, [Em] [C]
[G] In Judah, I [D] learned to fly. [Em] [C]
(Verse 2)
[G] Met a girl with [D] eyes, deep as [Em] the ocean [C] tide,
[G] She took my hand, [D] we danced under [Em] starlight. [C]
[G] Lost in the [D] rhythm, and her [Em] smile so bright, [C]
[G] In Judah, I [D] found my life. [Em] [C]
(Chorus)
[G] Oh, I took a [D] journey to [Em] Judah, [C]
[G] Fell in love under the [D] starry night, [Em] [C]
[G] With every beat, my [D] heart sang, [Em] [C]
[G] In Judah, I [D] found my light. [Em] [C]
(Favorite Fan)
The band’s favorite fan is Sophia Davis, no relation to Ricky. She’s been with them since their earliest bar gigs, often making the trek across the state to support them. Sophia is an artist and often gifts the band her interpretations of their songs, which the band treasures.
Sophia says, “I love Memorable Vacation because their music resonates with me. It’s raw, real, and filled with emotions. Their songs are like journeys, taking me places I’ve never been. It’s not just about the music, it’s about the bond they share as a band, their passion, and how they pour their heart into each note. I couldn’t ask for a better band to support!”
