Backstory:
‘Pretty Left’ was formed back in 2013, when four college friends who lived in the same dormitory discovered their shared love for music. The quartet included guitarist Leo Markham, bassist Burt ‘Buzz’ Allen, drummer Nina Valdez, and lead vocalist Caleb Jones. They started off with small gigs in local cafés and bars, slowly winning over the patrons with their original songs and unique sound. Their band name derives from an inside joke about the group always taking the ‘pretty’ (scenic) route during band road trips, which more often than not resulted in them making a ‘left’ turn.
The band’s big break came when they were chosen to open for a popular indie rock band at a local music festival. Their performance at the event was met with overwhelming applause, and they were subsequently signed by a record label. ‘Pretty Left’ continues to win hearts with their lyrical profundity and captivating melodies, and they remain humble, never forgetting their dormitory beginnings.

Title:
‘Lost in the Echo’
Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
Dm C Bb
Walking in circles, we’re chasing the sun
A Dm
Our shadows are dancing, we’ve only begun
Dm C Bb
The echoes of laughter, they hang in the air
A Dm
But silence is louder, when you’re not there
(Chorus)
Bb C
Lost in the echo, we’re searching for light
Dm A
Our hearts beat in rhythm, throughout the night
Bb C
We sing for the lost, we dance for the free
Dm A Dm
In the echo, we find, who we’re meant to be
(Verse)
Dm C Bb
The city is sleeping, but we’re wide awake
A Dm
In the echo, we find, it’s never too late
Dm C Bb
To dream of tomorrow, to live for today
A Dm
In the echo, we learn, love is the way
(Chorus)
Bb C
Lost in the echo, we’re searching for light
Dm A
Our hearts beat in rhythm, throughout the night
Bb C
We sing for the lost, we dance for the free
Dm A Dm
In the echo, we find, who we’re meant to be
