Pretty Left

Backstory:

‘Pretty Left’ was formed back in 2013, when four college friends who lived in the same dormitory discovered their shared love for music. The quartet included guitarist Leo Markham, bassist Burt ‘Buzz’ Allen, drummer Nina Valdez, and lead vocalist Caleb Jones. They started off with small gigs in local cafés and bars, slowly winning over the patrons with their original songs and unique sound. Their band name derives from an inside joke about the group always taking the ‘pretty’ (scenic) route during band road trips, which more often than not resulted in them making a ‘left’ turn.

The band’s big break came when they were chosen to open for a popular indie rock band at a local music festival. Their performance at the event was met with overwhelming applause, and they were subsequently signed by a record label. ‘Pretty Left’ continues to win hearts with their lyrical profundity and captivating melodies, and they remain humble, never forgetting their dormitory beginnings.

“Quantum Love Affair”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1 – Am, Em, D, G)
In the cosmos of your eyes, I see a universe unfold,
Gazing through the black hole of your soul,
In the stardust of your lips, a story yet to be told,
Our love is like a supernova, beautiful and bold.

(Chorus – C, G, Am, Em)
A quantum love affair, through space and time we thread,
Our love, like stars, unseen but always there,
In the constellation of your heart, our love’s celestial thread,
A quantum love affair, unbound, untamed, undead.

(Verse 2 – Am, Em, D, G)
Through the wormhole of your heart, I tumble and I swirl,
In the nebula of your mind, mysteries unfurl,
Your love fills up my universe, you’re my cosmic girl,
In the galaxy of your embrace, my heart begins to whirl.

(Chorus – C, G, Am, Em)
A quantum love affair, entangled in the night,
Our love, like space, a silent yet infinite fight,
In the lunar landscape of your dreams, our love takes flight,
A quantum love affair, in the cold and distant light.

Carefree Appliance

Backstory:

Carefree Appliance is a band that rose from the dusty corners of a cramped garage in Dayton, Ohio, circa 2005. Founding members, Kevin “Kettle” O’Brien and Simon “Toaster” Tate, were high school buddies trying to understand the world through their shared passion for music. They named their band Carefree Appliance as an ironic homage to their day jobs as repairmen where they spent hours fixing appliances; a far cry from the carefree image they were trying to evoke. After two years of recruiting from the local scene and honing their sound, they welcomed eccentric drummer, “Fridge” Fred Walton and multi-instrumentalist, “Microwave” Mike Thompson, to their lineup. These additional members brought in fresh perspectives, helping the band evolve and solidify their unique identity.
