Petty Soil

Backstory:

Petty Soil was formed in the late 90s in the small town of Muncie, Indiana. The band consists of four friends – David Johnson on vocals and guitar, Mike Stevens on drums, Sam Moore on bass, and Tommy Walsh on keyboards. The band’s unique name was derived from their shared love for Tom Petty and their working-class roots, which they felt was represented by the ‘soil’. Despite beginning their journey in a small, rural town, Petty Soil managed to conquer the hearts of music lovers across the country with their soul-stirring tunes and relatable lyrics.

The band’s rise to fame was a classic underdog story. Performing at local pubs and small events, they managed to catch the attention of Sam Ross, a music producer who happened to be in town for a visit. Impressed by their raw talent and authenticity, Ross decided to sign them up to his label. Since then, Petty Soil has released multiple albums, each topping the charts and earning them a loyal fan base.
