The group’s founders, frontman Pete ‘Snap’ Miller and lead guitarist ‘Fast’ Eddie York, met during a political science class at New York University and found common ground not just in their shared concern for the nation’s future, but also in their love for edgy, thought-provoking music. They decided to create a band that would combine their love for music with their passion for politics, a band that would provide commentary on the socio-political landscape through their songs. Soon, they were joined by drummer Michelle ‘Throttle’ Lee and bassist Bob ‘Groove’ Johnson, and Snappy Election was born.
