Waterlogged Output

Backstory:
Waterlogged Output, a unique blend of personalities brought together through a shared love of music and the ocean, was formed in the coastal town of Brighton, England in 2015. The band’s four members, Nicholas ‘Nick’ Smith, Oliver ‘Ollie’ Jones, Liam Clark, and Matt Thompson met while studying marine biology at the University of Sussex. They quickly realized their shared passion for music and marine conservation. The band was initially just a fun project to pass the time, but soon their unique sound gained local recognition.

Wanting to make a difference, they decided to use their platform to raise awareness about the critical issues facing the world’s oceans. Their music is heavily influenced by the sea, both in terms of their lyrics and the sound they create. They have a deep understanding and connection with the ocean, and this resonates in their music, making it a truly unique experience.

Favorite Fan Testimonial:
Their favorite fan is a young woman named Emily Watson. An environmental science student and avid music lover, Emily first discovered Waterlogged Output at a local charity gig in Brighton. Emily states, “Waterlogged Output is my favorite band, not just because of their unique, raw sound, but also because their music speaks about something bigger than us. They don’t just create music; they create awareness about our oceans and their plight. Every song is a journey, a dive into the deep, a call to arms to protect our oceans. They are the voice of the silent sea, and that’s why I love them.”
