Slow Amount

Backstory:

The Slow Amount began their journey in the small town of Creston, North Dakota, in the summer of 2009. The band was formed by the childhood friends – Monte, the street poet and guitarist, and Cliff, the percussive wizard; who were later joined by the enigmatic Julia, a classically trained cellist. They spent their formative years experimenting with various musical genres in Monte’s basement, which doubled as their makeshift studio. The band got its big break when they were discovered by a producer who was on a road trip and accidentally heard them performing at a local bar.

Genre:

The Slow Amount could best be classified as a unique blend of folk rock, with a hint of blues and a slight undertone of indie pop. Their music appeals to a diverse audience, thanks to its universal and emotionally resonant themes.

Title:

“Drifting On A Moonbeam”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G]Underneath the starlight, [C]where we used to be,
[D]You and I were wild and free
[G]Listening to the whispers, [C]riding on the breeze,
[D]We were drifting on a moonbeam

(Chorus)
[C]Sailed across the universe, [G]just you and me,
[D]In our hearts, we were forever young and free
[C]Nothing else mattered, [G]only our dreams,
[D]We were just drifting on a moonbeam

(Verse 2)
[G]Walking in the shadows, [C]of our memories,
[D]Searching for what used to be
[G]Caught between the laughter, [C]and the silent cries,
[D]We’re still drifting on a moonbeam

(Chorus)
[C]Lost in a moment, [G]a timeless sea,
[D]Where the echoes of our past still run so deep
[C]Through the pain and the smiles, [G]and the in-betweens,
[D]We’re just drifting on a moonbeam
