Backstory: Worst Promise is an experimental indie band that got its start in the heart of Brooklyn, New York in 2011. The four members, Jason (vocals, keys), Hannah (drums), Michael (guitar), and Sasha (bass), came together at a local music jam at a dive bar, each of them drawn to the other’s unique style and perspective. After a few impromptu jam sessions, they realized they had an undeniable chemistry and decided to form an official band. The band’s favorite fan: The band’s favorite fan is named Lily, a 27-year-old graphic designer who was introduced to Worst Promise at a friend’s housewarming party. The melancholic lyrics and the experimental indie sound captivated her instantly. In her words, “Worst Promise’s music is like a breath of fresh air in an industry filled with generic sounds.
