Backstory:
In the heat of the 1990s grunge movement, a group of friends from Seattle, Washington found a shared passion for music. The band members, lead singer Max Branson, guitarist Joey “Jax” Monroe, bassist Eddie Freeman, and drummer Danny “Duke” Evans, were initially just trying to escape the monotony of their 9-to-5 jobs. They started to jam in Monroe’s garage, drawing inspiration from their grunge heroes like Nirvana and Pearl Jam. They called themselves “Sour Arrest,” a nod to their mundane lives and a desire to break free. Their grungy sound quickly caught the attention of the local music scene, leading to a record deal, and they have been producing electrifying rock anthems ever since.

Title:
“Chains of Yesterday”
Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
Am C
Wake up in a world, where it’s always the same
G D
Living in the shadows, of someone else’s fame
Am C
Tired of the routine, I need to break free
G D
From the chains of yesterday, that keep holding me
(Chorus)
Am C
Sour Arrest, we’re breaking through
G D
With a voice that’s loud, that’s honest and true
Am C
We’re not in the past, we’re here today
G D
Breaking the chains, of yesterday
(Verse)
Am C
In this concrete maze, where dreams are lost
G D
We’ve paid the price, we’ve paid the cost
Am C
But we won’t lie down, we won’t give in
G D
With Sour Arrest, let the revolution begin
(Chorus)
Am C
Sour Arrest, we’re breaking through
G D
With a voice that’s loud, that’s honest and true
Am C
We’re not in the past, we’re here today
G D
Breaking the chains, of yesterday
