Old-Fashioned Murder

Backstory:
Old-Fashioned Murder began their journey in the small town of Appalachia, Virginia. The group was formed in 2010 by childhood friends – Jack “Rusty” Thomas, the lead guitarist and vocalist, and Mason “Boom-Boom” Harper, the drummer. They were later joined by Alice “Dark Angel” O’Connor, a classically trained pianist who brought her transformative talent on the electric keyboard to the mix. Their music was born out of their shared fascination for vintage crime novels, which they combined with their love for music, creating something magical and unique.

Despite facing numerous ups and downs, the band stuck together, their shared passion for music and the thrill of mystery driving them forward. Their breakthrough came in 2015 when their debut album “Fingerprints” caught the attention of renowned music producer, Davis Blackwood. Recognizing their unique sound and potential, Davis signed them onto his label, catapulting their music to a global audience.

Title:
“The Cursed Locket”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1 –Em, C, G, D)
In an old dusty town, shadows whisper tales,
(Em, C, G, D)
Of a cursed locket and a maiden so frail.
(Em, C, G, D)
In her heart was love, in her eyes was fear,
(Em, C, G, D)
She wore the locket close, her doom she drew near.

(Chorus –G, D, Em, C)
Sometimes love’s a killer, and hearts are the stage,
(G, D, Em, C)
Old-fashioned murder, in an innocent age.
(G, D, Em, C)
The cursed locket shines, under the moon’s glow,
(G, D, Em, C)
An old-fashioned murder, in the shadows we sow.

(Verse 2 –Em, C, G, D)
The lovers rendezvous, under the willow’s weep,
(Em, C, G, D)
Promises whispered, secrets to keep.
(Em, C, G, D)
But the locket bore a curse, love turned to dread,
(Em, C, G, D)
By the break of dawn, the young lover was dead.
